Built in 1853 by Gen Wm. G. Harding. The 5300 acre state was before the turn of the century the nation's largest producer of thoroughbred horses. Located 7 miles west of Nashville on US 70 S.

Belle Meade Plantation, located in Belle Meade, Tennessee, is a historic plantation mansion whose grounds now function as a museum. Belle Meade Plantation consist of 30 remaining acres and features a winery, visitor's center, original outbuildings including the Harding cabin, dairy, carriage house, stable, mausoleum and a reconstructed slave quarters.
