Gisborne

Gisborne is located on the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand. It is the first city in the world to see the sun of each new day. Captain Cook statues decorate the city, as seen here at sunrise over Young Nick's Head. Captain Cook's ship - the Endeavour - first sighted the coast of New Zealand in 1769.

Gisborne's picturesque marina is surrounded by restaurants, from where the views are truly fantastic.
