Formosa Station is named after the Formosa Incident on December 10, 1979 that shocked the whole Taiwan society and greatly impacted the development of Taiwan's democracy movement. The impressive public art piece at this station is designed by Italian artist, Maestro Narcissus Quagliata who created by hand the dome of light that symbolizes the prayer theme.

Musician in national costume - Tyubeteyka - playing the dutare

A tubeteika or tübätäy is a Central Asian cap, today worn in Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, as well as in Muslim-populated regions of Russia (mainly Tatars). The tubeteika is worn typically by the Turkic ethnic groups of the region. It bears some superficial resemblance to the yurt, another Central Asian cultural icon. The cap is called in Uzbek duppi or kalpoq and is considered an applied art form and an important part of the traditional folk costume.

Chichen Itza
Una de las 7 maravillas del mundo, con su piramide de Kukulcan y el chac mool.

Chichen Itza (900-1200 A.D) was the last inhabited Mayan City, in the Peninsula of Yucatan. This place had influence from the Toltecs, a culture in central Mexico, in its religion and architecture, like the use of a ball game court, an observatory and the figure of Chac Mool.
At background, the Pyramid of Kukulcan (God of Wind, Quetzalcoatl for the Toltecs). It counts with 4 stairs and 365 steps.
During Spring's Equinox, the sunlight projected on its sides feigns the shadow of a snake going down until it fades in the ground.
