Castles from Yorshire, England. 

(1) Middleham Castle, Wensleydale, was built by Robert Fitzrandolph, 3rd Lord of Middleham and Spennithorne, commencing in 1190. (2) Richmond, is situated in the town centre overlooking the River Swale. It was completed in 1086, consisted of a keep with walls encompassing the area now known as the Market Place. (3) Scarborough  Castle is a former medieval Royal fortress situated on a rocky promontory overlooking the North Sea and Scarborough. (4) Castle Gateway, Skipton, is a medieval castle in Skipton, it was built in 1090 by Robert de Romille, a Norman baron, and has been preserved for over 900 years.
