Fairy Meadows, Nanga Parbat
Nanga Parbat (8126m) is the 9th highest mountain on earth and 2nd highest in Pakistan. Also known as the 'Killer Mountain', Nanga Parbat has claimed a heavy toll of human lives of mountaineers. Fairy Meadows are idyllic alpine pastures surrounded by pine forests on the northen slopes of Nanga Parbat, with breathtaking views of the snow-clad North Face.
 Nanga Parbat is one of the eight-thousanders, with a summit elevation of 8,126 meters.
Nanga Parbat translates to "Naked Mountain" in English; parbat deriving from the Sanskrit word parvata meaning "mountain, rock", and nanga from the Sanskrit nagna meaning "naked".
