Chiang Kai-shek (October 31, 1887 – April 5, 1975) was a political and military leader of 20th-century China. He is known as Jiǎng Jièshí or Jiǎng Zhōngzhèng in Mandarin.

May 20 Republican Year 37/1948, Chiang Kai-shek's was the first President of the Republic of China in the new constitution of 1948.
He lost national war to Communist and withdrew to Taiwan.
