Beijing - Simatai Section of the Great Wall

The Simatai Great Wall is located where Miyun County shares border with Luanpin County of Hebei Province. It was built in line with the rising mountain peaks with watchowers at close intervals and in various shapes and structures. Characterized by its "precipituos, dense, comphrehensive, ingenious and extraordinary" features, it is recognized as a prime section of the Great Wall.
